The 2024 Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon officially opened online registration at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday.
A registration kickoff event occurred in downtown Kalamazoo at the Kalamazoo Mall, including giveaways, race information, photo opportunities, and swag for the first 50 people.
"The Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon is a celebration of community and health, and we hope to continue to expand this event to ensure everyone feels welcome and can achieve their goals,” race director, Carrie Drake said.
The 2024 Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon will be held on two days, May 4th and 5th, and will include a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk and free PNC Kids’ 1K.
New for 2024
Introducing the Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon Relay with groups of three to five team members, who are able to register and complete the Full Marathon with legs varying in distance from 3.5 to 6.5 miles.
The 50 state challenge returns for the first time since 2019, which features a celebration of runners throughout the nation and supports runners looking to participate in a marathon in each state, according to organizers.
The first person to register from each state will receive a complimentary entry and specialty run gear, according to organizers.
From Aug. 1 through Aug. 6, the Zeigler Kalamazoo Marathon is offering 10% off for all events using code: ZKROpen2024.
